Biography
Lorryn is a multidisciplinary artist, living and working in Queens, New York. Merging her fascinations with assemblage, crafts, the art of storytelling, the human condition and photography, her work plays between the fantasy of imagination and reality. Lorryn earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Adelphi University in 2012 and has been carrying out her craft for the last decade. She has exhibited work in shows such as “Paradise in the City” at Local Project in Long Island City and “Westside Exposure”, at Westbeth Gallery in New York City. She was also the first alumna to be featured in her university's “Outdoor Sculpture Biennial” in 2016. Following the 2020 pandemic, Lorryn opened “Red Lotus Collage”, an online shop of traditional paper collages and handicrafts as a way to preserve her art practice and continue the custom of functional handmade goods. She has made over 100 collages and continues to grow her portfolio daily. |
